Mr. Joshua Juneau is completing his Articles of Clerkship with Michel Drapeau Law Office and is expected to be called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2012.
Mr. Juneau studied law in Australia, completing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with honours in 2010, and received his Canadian Equivalency Certificate later the same year. While completing his degree, Josh gained valuable experience working as a legal research assistant, helping his advisor publish a highly rated constitutional text, and prepare for appearances before Australian superior courts. Josh’s areas of interest are Administrative Law including Military law, Access to Information and Privacy Law.
Prior to studying law, Josh completed a Bachelor of Science combined (Biology and Earth Sciences) honours degree from Carleton University. Josh’s interest in biomedical sciences lead him to complete his honours thesis at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (Arrhythmia laboratory) looking for genetic mutations in human heart tissue. Josh also has practical experience as an exploration geologist, leading a team who discovered a mineable uranium resource in eastern Ontario.
Josh is very excited about articling and working with the MDLO team. While articling at MDLO, Josh has participated in applications and appeals, become experienced in drafting pleadings and facta, interviewing and preparing witnesses, conducting legal research and providing legal opinions. |
